2018 International Orientation and Mobility Online Symposium Official Information!
If you are participating in the 2018 Int'l O&M Online Symposium, the email has been sent out to you! The email contains all of the links and information that you need to have a successful symposium.
In case you need the information again, here it is. Note, I did not include the links to the viewing options. Those will all be included in your email.

We are nearing the start of the International Orientation and Mobility Symposium and we have some updates for you. First of all we are thrilled at the nearly 300 participants from all over the world who have registered! Many of you will be attending all of the sessions live, but also many of you will attend select sessions live and then access some of them in their recorded format during the next couple of days after the original broadcast.
Please save this email to help you in accessing the sessions and also in completing the process to receive a certificate or continuing education credit.
Live Viewing with Chat in Adobe Connect
We have room in the Video Conference space that allows you to interact through the chat function for 100 people. The link to that room is in your email.
So if you want to participate in the chat, you will want to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of each session. If you just want to listen to the live broadcast the YouTube stream will meet your needs.
When entering the Adobe Connect video conference you must log in as guest and enter your name. .
Live Streaming without Chat
Once we reach 100 participants in any given session you will need to go to our overflow stream which will not allow for you to participate in the chat. The links to these webpages are included in your email.
If you want to ask questions of the presenters or share a comment you may email these to Kassandra Maloney at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will be monitoring all the sessions and will be able to share them with the presenters.
Also, we do have handouts for the sessions in a variety of formats. These are posted to the TSBVI website at http://www.tsbvi.edu/international-o-m-online-symposium/iomos-handouts.
If you miss a session the recorded version will be available on the TSBVI website via the link in your email. through January 28, 2018. After that time they will be removed along with all of the handouts.

Live Viewing with Chat
When you enter the Adobe Connect room sign-in with your name in a designated "pod". This acts as a record for us to count you as attending the session which is needed if you want continuing education credit or a certificate. You will be sent an evaluation link by January 30th and must complete the evaluation within 60 days. When completing the evaluation enter the ending code for each session you view provided at the end of each session. You will be able to download and print out your certificate for your records.
Live Streaming without Chat
If you are in the YouTube steaming site, please send an email to email@example.com at the end of the session with the code that will be provided. This code is the name of a country and will appear on the screen and be read aloud for any visually impaired participants at the end of the session. This serves as your "sign-in" which is needed if you want continuing education credit or a certificate. You will be sent an evaluation link by January 30th and must complete the evaluation within 60 days. When completing the evaluation enter the ending code for each session you view provided at the end of each session. You will be able to download and print out your certificate for your records.
In order to receive credit for viewing a recorded session you must email Kate Hurst at firstname.lastname@example.org by noon onMonday, January 29, 2018 with the following information which serves as your "sign in" to the session and allows us to record your attendance for our records:
Title, date and time of the original broadcast for each recorded session you view
The session code (name of a country)
By January 30th you should receive an email link for you to be able to evaluate the session which you must complete within 60 days if you want continuing education credit or a certificate.
