"We didn’t need to travel across the country to connect with other amazing professionals! We are thinking about adding this feature to our next AER Ontario Conference in April! Everyone needs to promote this new idea!
"You did such a great job with the webinar training! Thank you so much for all your hard work."
"It was a pleasure to take part in this conference. Agencies in Canada often do not see the need for professional development whereas, I have found that it is extremely important in the States. When working in the States at the start of my career we were encouraged to attend and be actively involved. All the conferences that I have attended since returning to Canada were for executives to attend with the thought they would share (rarely happened). I usually travelled on my own time. We now have a great lady who is encouraging us to stay abreast of the topics and discussions in our field YEAH just as I retire. Is this Murphy’s Law?
Another, Thank you to you and the folks on your team that pulled this conference together. It was so smooth from session to session (and I did not get myself turned around at a conference centre) and all the material was available immediately.
With the greatest of respect for your organization."

OMG, I can’t believe how fabulous this symposium is! First of all, the presenters I’ve heard so far have all been fabulous, but the real thing I’m raving about is the platform!!! It’s AWESOME, thank you Kassy (Maloney) for dreaming this up, and thank you, TSBVI for making it happen!!!
I figured this would be like going to a webinar but I’ve been amazed at the sense of community I’m getting from participating. I’ve been chatting with some of the other participants between sessions, and I love seeing the names of friends and colleagues posting in the chat room during the presentations.
And there is a sense of “being there” which I don’t get from watching a webinar, because it’s been going on for two days now, and I’ve been able to attend some in person but some, like the one that’s going on now, I’ll watch later because something came up unexpectedly and I had to run out and take care of it. But being pulled away doesn’t mean I miss the session – I have until Sunday night to watch it.
And not having to travel and be away from the family to participate in this international O&M community event has been FABULOUS! The night before the first session, which I was co-presenting with O&Ms from India, French Canada and Austin, I told my husband how strange it felt to be going to sleep in my own bed and then in the morning just walk over to the computer to give my presentation. I did have to dress up for it but only above the waist (don’t tell anyone -- I was wearing old jeans and my bunny slippers!).
Thank you again, Kassy and TSBVI!!!
